Morphogenic field at work

Posted by Milind Koyande | 6:38 AM | 0 comments |

Very Often, Information is passed on from mind to mind without any physical contact through invisible Morphogenic Fields.

How many times have you come across situations where you are thinking just the very same thing that the other person is your family is, of that your friend, colleague, etc is thinking of? How many times have it been that you and your friend or anybody literally speak the same words on a situation or you spell it out and the friend says, “Hey those are my words”. All this happens due to communications – not through the usual media of telephone, television etc. The information is passed on from mind-to-mind without any physical contact through Morphogenic field?

An example of this phenomenon at work is when somebody is humming a song in his/her mind and you ‘pick up’ the same tune almost inadvertently without that person telling you anything about it. Or when entire communities – linguistic, religious, and behavioral – function and think the same way without anyone having necessarily taught them to do so. That’s Morphogenic at work.

Morphogenic fields are basically non physical blueprints that give birth to forms. According to its founder, the biologist Rupert Sheldrake, a Morphogenic field is like an electromagnetic field that carries information only, not energy, and it is available through out time and space without any loss of intensity after it has been created. Simply put, he postulates that there is something like a group mind, or species mind, for each type of organism, and that each individual is connected to that shared mind or memory. Such invisible group mind can account for the spontaneous eruption of behaviors throughout entire populations of animals or entire human societies.  Morphogenic fields can be used to describe how the human consciousness is shared. They therefore play the main role in the idea that humanity at one point in time will go through a dramatic collective shift in consciousness. A shift that will happen when the critical mass of a shift is reached, or in other words, when a certain number of spiritually awakened individuals are reached.

This is best explained by Sheldrake in his ‘Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon’ where he says when a certain critical number achieves and awareness; this new awareness may be communicated from mind to mind. Although the exact number may vary, this Hundredth Monkey Phenomenon means that when only a limited number of people know of a new way, it may remain the conscious property of these people. But there is a point at which if only one more person tunes in to a new awareness, a field is strengthened so that this awareness is picked up by almost everyone!

Translated into simple lingo, it means we have to consciously connect the goodness of one person with the goodness of another, so that a band of positivity spreads across the world. And it is the collective positivity that will achieve the critical mass that Sheldrake talks about, and bring about positive changes that will counter the negative influences that the world is seeing today.

The Popular Peanut

Posted by Milind Koyande | 12:59 PM 0 comments |

Interestingly, not many of us are aware that the legume family, it is in fact more closely related to the pea, thus the name peanut.

Peanuts grow under the ground hence; the term groundnut is used for the unshelled variety. While groundnuts are widely available in India, they are believed to have originated in South America.  Portuguese traders were the first to take peanuts to Europe, Asia and Africa.

Grown extensively in many rural areas of India, guests are served peanuts that are freshly roasted along with hot snacks and freshly brewed tea. The peanut is not a glamorous ingredient, but it is certainly the most versatile. Here are some ways in which peanuts are used as food.

Indian cooking: most Indian regional cooking is not complete without peanuts. It finds use across the country in various cuisines, ranging from the simple to the exotic. The south Indians combine peanuts with other spices t create basic masalas. Maharashtrians include peanuts in their chutney and various spice powders. Throughout the nation, peanuts are added to green chutneys for the extra flavor. Many households prepare singhdana subzis to be relished with rotis. Boiled or roasted peanuts are used as garnishes. Indian peanuts are fondly called ‘chakhna’ meaning cocktail snacks. Groundnut oil is also used for daily cooking.

Chikkis: the first chikki was made using the cheapest nut available; that is peanut. Though today chikkis are available in many varieties and made with various and made with various nuts, nothing can beat a chikki.

Peanut butter: peanut butter is a paste made from well-roasted peanuts that are ground along with some oil or butter. Peanut butter is very popular in the US and in the same manner that the Indians are fond of bread and jam; the Americans live on peanut butter sandwiches. Peanut butter at times is also used to make some desserts of salad dressings. Though the process of making peanut butter seems easy, the difficult part is storing it. It is quite likely for the peanut solids and the fat to separate of prepared at home. Thus, if the intention is to store peanut butter for long, it’s advisable to opt for a commercially available one.

Why peanuts are good?
Well, most won’t agree that peanuts are beneficial health wise due to various s reasons; however, peanuts do have some good things in store. Peanuts are a good source of antioxidants, niacin, vitamin E, unsaturated fat, bioflavins, and proteins. Peanuts are also believed to lower the risk of heart disease and provide protection from several types of cancer. However, many people are prone to peanut allergies.

It is the protein found in peanuts that react in the body to develop allergies. Peanut allergies are the most common causes of death h by food in US. Some people can even have reaction just from inhaling the aroma of peanuts.

Toss these Spices into your salad or sauce and get a whopping DOSE of Disease-preventing Antioxidants

Spices Wars have been fought over them, great explorers have sailed in pursuit of them and gifting history was made by three wise men bearing them. Turns out that the ancients were on to something. Research is now showing that five spices we’ve long savored just for their flavor are also nutritional power houses. Toss these over achievers into your salad or sauce and get a whopping dose of disease-preventing antioxidants along with a flavorful punch.

Cinnamon: This natural germ-fighter also helps lower blood sugar, triglycerides and cholesterol levels – one-quarter teaspoon a day is a healthy goal. Sprinkle a little of the powder on freshly ground coffee beans when making your morning java, or try these irresistible cinnamon baked apples for a low cal dessert.

Thyme: It makes it into recipes for marinades, grilled poultry and fish by virtue of its minty, lemony flavour; it makes it onto the list of healthy herbs by virtue of its anticancer potency. It’s also long been used as an antiseptic – yep, that could be thyme oil in your mouthwash. If you’ve got a fresh bunch, mince some into your vinaigrette.

Cumin: Concealed in your humble chilli powder is one of the world’s most popular spices (it’s a key ingredients in Indian curries too) and another anti-cancer soldier. Go exotic and add cumin to rice, grain salads and marinades or try this heart-healthy ultimate beef chilli made with chunks of fat-trimmed meat.

Oregano: A food-world superpower, leaves of the herb boasts 42 times more antioxidants than apples. Wow! Use oregano to add a delicate flavour to salad dressings, garlic bread and omelets as well as your favourite pastas.

Those who haven’t had the time for a vacation can still drive down to somewhere close

It’s almost the end of the holiday season and for those who haven’t had the time for a vacation, it is ideal to drive down somewhere close like a beach or a hill station for a quick break. Here are some pointers to keep in mind before you start off on that drive.
  • Make sure your car is served before you begin your journey. Lay emphasis on properly working headlights, wipers, the horn and seat belts.

  • Ensure that you have essential items like a first aid kit, fire extinguisher, tool kit and a spare tire in the car.

  • Before starting off, double check that you have all the necessary documents like your registration papers, insurance documents, drivers license. It would do well if you could also include a driving map.

  • If you are driving with a baby, ensure that you have a baby seat fitted in the car.

  • Last but not the least, driving long distances can be quite boring so make sure your music system is all spruced up to provide the necessary entertainment.

Trust is the most essential ingredient in a good relationship. You can have matching libidos. You can have the same goals, dreams and desires. For some people, trust comes easily. They work on the assumption that someone will be faithful until they’re proven wrong. If this is you, count yourself as one of the lucky ones. Sure, you might get a nasty surprise now and again, but at least you’re giving relationships the best chance they’ve got to succeed.

WHY IT’S GOOD…: Everyone gets jealous occasionally. If you love your partner and you feel someone is coming strong on your man, it’s normal to feel a sharp pang of jealousy-something that’s usually sorted out in a jiffy with a bit of reassurance. Match a regular person up with someone, who presses all the wrong buttons and just watch that entire normalcy go right out the window as he or she become outrageously jealous. If your partner has a history if playing around or if he’s cheated on you or has a history of cheating, you’re wise to keep your eyes open.

WHY IT’S BAD…: The difference between normal jealousy and abnormal jealousy is this: Truly jealous people experience it with practically every person they date. The trouble is, when you’re in the middle of a jealous rage, you lose all sense of perspective. Jealousy is an incredibly powerful emotion. You can’t control it because it’s being fed by one continuous thought. If you’re happy yourself, you’re much more likely to think ‘Why would my love want anyone else when he’s got me?’

Your switch can’t always be turned to “On”. But when it isn’t, and needs to be, try a little top to bottom pressure. Stimulating certain acupressure points on your body-starting with the top of your head and moving down to the soles of your feet -  is a quick and coffee-free way to jazz yourself up. Here’s how to do the wake-up rubs.

Try this acupressure sequence that recently proved very effective in a study.
  • Lightly tap the top of your head several times.
  • Rub the spot on the back of your head where your skull meets your neck.
  • Use a thumb to massage the back of your other hand; rub the fleshy spot where the thumb joins the hand.
  • Massage the front of your legs, just below the knee.
  • Rub the soles of your feet, just below the ball.
  • Rub these points clockwise and then counterclockwise for 3 minutes. After that – presto! You’re awake.

More ways to Rev your Engine
  • It’s pretty basic, but get your ZZZs. Sleep loss is a major energy drain. Try to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night.
  • Brighten up. Bright lights will make you more awake and alert.
  • Grab yourself a cuppa – tea that is as it has mind-grabbing ingredients.
  • Find out what’s causing you to drag.

Blog is turning into business as bloggers are getting professional and giving out much more quality content

Internationally, online marketing is very recent. You might be familiar with shopping and banking online, but a major part of online economy you are not aware of is, Internet Advertising. Advertises are basically content-related and blogs have rich content to embed such advertisements.

Blogging has a considerable share in this online business. From last 5-6 years, bloggers are turning as professional bloggers to make money from this new online trend.

So, what is the basic difference anyway?

The bloggers work content only. The professional bloggers work content as well as spend some bucks on promoting their blog. To earn money from blog they need potential visitors, which can be achieved from promoting their blogs.

Professional bloggers design their blog related to content and also make it user friendly. For e.g. if you have a technology blog you use a sci-fi design for your blog. Also rather than using sub-domain name for their blog as www.example.blogspot.com they buy a related domain name as www.example.com so as to make their blog easily reachable for surfers.

The basic investment in this business is promoting your blog, and the earning source is also advertising. Also having a quality blog, good design and little bit of reputation matters.

To spend and earn money from advertising websites like Google Adsense, Adwords and Adbrite are preferred.

The websites like Alexa.com and Technorati.com gives you worldwide rankings which calculate your reputations based on web-traffic and readers appreciation.

Basic blogging targets are getting maximum blog readers and high rakings than competitors. But if you can manage these things the other ways of earning are giving paid reviews. For e.g. I have Internet security blog; anti-virus and security companies pays me to write review on their products.

Ways of earning are many, but if you are turning your blog into a business it should be your primary consideration and you have to work hard on it. You’ll find yourself blogging all the day and so it is called as a professional blogging.

Despite of all business considerations if you enjoy your blogging things like getting professional is not hard task. And the funny thing is you’ll find many blogs teaching you ‘Hoe to Blog Professionally’.

Ever wish there were a happy pill to pep up your spirits when you’re out of sorts? To make you laugh when you’re feeling down? Or to calm your nerves when you’re about to bite someone’s head off? Well, get this: there are several things in your kitchen that might just do the trick, and they taste a lot better than a pill.

  • A little dessert: Sugar soothes us when we’re stressedor at least it soothes stressed-out rats – which are remarkably good models for stress in people. But before you race to the vending machine with a license to binge, know that while a little sugar may soothe rattled nerves, too much will re-rattle them by causing havoc with your blood sugar.
  • Toast and Jam: “Carbs raise levels of the feel-good brain chemical serotonin, which lifts our spirits,” says Elizabeth Somer, RD, author of Food and Mood. That’s why we crave bread and other carbohydrates when we’re down. Opt for whole-wheat bread and other stabilize blood sugar levels – unlike refined grains (white bread, pasta, rice) which send blood sugar on a roller-coaster ride, leaving you jittery, grumpy, and hungry. Get a happy serotonin boost from snacks like a bowl of oatmeal or sandwich.
  • Yogurt and Eggs: Numerous studies show that getting more of the omega-3 fatty acid called DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) in your diet may boost your mood and your brainpower. Even people battling tough-to-treat depression may feel as much as 50 percent better when they get lots of DHA. To keep your chin cheerfully up, aim for 200 milligrams (mg) of DHA a day.
  • Spinach: It gets you in a high-energy mood. Spinach is full of folate, a B vitamin that’s a must for making feel-good serotonin. Like DHA, folate may help ease depression, according to researchers. So, if you’re trying to stay on the sunny side of life, make eating spinach a habit.
  • Black Bean Dip: Black beans, like most legumes, ae a nifty source of iron. And if you’re low on iron – as many active women might feel constantly tried, both of which can turn you into a major grouch. Here’s how to help keep your iron levels – and your mood –up:
    1. Mix black beans with chopped spinach and roasted red peppers as a dip for toasted whole-wheat tortilla.
    2. Heat black beans with onions, garlic, and cumin and serve over brown rice.
    3. Add black beans to chili and soups.
  • Two quick tips:  To help your body absorb optimal amounts of iron, combine iron-rich foods with foods that are high n vitamin C- like tomatoes, broccoli and red peppers. But don’t wash them down with coffee, tea, or milk; all three can block iron absorption.

Bubblegum, Bubblegum in a dish…

Posted by Milind Koyande | 6:24 PM | 0 comments |

From clubs to bubble blowing competitions that have been cited in the Guinness Book of World Records, bubblegum has seen as interesting tale.

All of us at some point have chewed on bubblegum. We have even played that game as children, “Bubblegum, bubblegum, in a dish. How many bubblegum do you wish?” In addition, we have participated in bubble blowing competitions and today, there is also a bubblegum club! WOW! That’s so much of bubblegum in our lives! So where did so much bubblegum come from? Who invented it? These are some of the interesting things that we’re going to find out.

The first bubblegum, which was developed by Peter Meijer in 1906, was sticky and broke too easily, so it was quickly abandoned. Accompanied by his assistant, Meijer strove to create a stronger, less sticky type of gum, but was forced to give up in 1908 and declare bankruptcy.
Bubblegum was first introduced to the American public in 1911, although it was nor commercially successful.

The Fleer company developed an improved bubblegum, which they marketed under the name Dubble Bubble. The reason bubblegum is traditionally pink is that it was the original color used by Frank H. Fleer, as it was the only one stock when he made it.

Up to the 1970s, bubblegum had a tendency to stick to one’s face, if given the opportunity. But with the advent of super-soft, non-stick gum, bubble blowing became a less dangerous sport. In the years that followed, the fear of gum sticking to one’s face actually ceased to be a cultural phenomenon, despite having been a common humorous reference in entertainment.

Indeed, with the introduction of non-stick gum, bubblegum became one of the best- selling sweets in the US and soon outpaced several other sweets in the United States.

The current Guinness World Record Holder for blowing the largest bubble is Susan Montgomery Williams, from Fresno, California with a 23 inch bubble. Susan has held her record since 1979. Joyce Samuels of Louisville, Kentucky is the current GWRH for blowing the largest bubblegum from the nose, 16 inches. At the time this was written, Joyce is the only person to ever hold this record.

Are you hot-headed?

Posted by Milind Koyande | 8:00 PM | ,, 0 comments |

Here are some ways to keep you from reaching a boiling point

Anger is one emotion that comes most easily to us. So, it’s perfectly normal when it is within control. Problems arise when it becomes uncontrollable and destructive, affecting your relationships at work and home.

What is anger?
It is felt at an emotional plane in life, either as a mild irritation to an intense fury or rage, and is accompanied by discomforting physical sensations. Anger could be caused by external events (delay in public transports, waiting in long queues, corruption, etc) or internal events (constantly perceiving insults or brooding over problems, ‘my way or the highway attitude in life). Thus, anger becomes a natural and adaptive response to a threat where a certain amount of anger becomes necessary to our survival, but when it takes over our lives on a day to day basis it threatens our very existence! Some people choose to express their anger aggressively by screaming, shouting, hitting and lashing out, whereas others suppress their anger by directing it inwards. Unexpressed anger can create other problems. Both physical (high blood pressure, migraines, acidity etc) and behavioral symptoms can develop. The healthiest way to express your anger is in an assertive and not aggressive way.

Why are you hot-headed?
  • Low tolerance levels of frustration and inconvenience.
  • Extremely sensitive to being corrected.
  • For some people, it all begins from childhood. They are irritable and touchy from an early age.
  • Family background and upbringing. (Some families are not skilled at emotional communication).

Manage your anger
Reduce your sensitivity to the emotional experience of anger. Become aware of your sensitivities that trigger anger. You can’t get rid of things or the people that enrage you, nor can you change them so what do you do? The only viable solution for you is to manage your emotions and channelise your anger constructively. Easier said that done? Here’s how:

Respond, don’t react
In a heated argument, don’t say the first thing that comes to your head. Slow down, ask yourself to relax, breathe deeply, count 1 to 50 if required. Now carefully think about what you want to say, at the same time listen to what the opposite person is saying and take your time before answering.

Logic overshadows anger
Even though sometimes anger may feel justified it can be proved irrational only by logic.

Script your anger
Re-script your daily language. It is healthier to say, “I would like to have…”, rather than, “I must have…”People who use words like ‘never’ or ‘always’. This does not give the opposite person time to change the problem, and moreover in your head the experience is that there is no hope. Use of foul language…is a strict no-no, because it will make the opposite person angrier.

Humor your anger. If you are upset with a co-worker and you think he’s a blockhead, every time you are upset with him think of him as a block of wood, incapable of acting appropriately, this takes the fury out of your anger and enables you to take responsibility of the situation.

Learn to chill out
Problems and responsibilities tend to weigh down on you making you feel trapped and angry. In your schedule for the day, always take out time for ‘yourself’ and reflect on the day and the situations that have triggered anger.

Use deep breathing exercises and ask yourself to relax as your exhale. Breathe deep from the diaphragm and not just from the chest. Exhale your anger out.

Use visualization and relaxing imagery. Whichever scenery in nature resonated within you, must be used by you to relax.

An elephant’s trunk has the strength to uproot a tree as well as the finesse to pick up a needle. Ganesha’s trunk symbolizes the fact that the wise person has both immense strength and fine discrimination.

Ganesha has large ears. The wise person hears all. He has four hands. In one hand he holds a lotus, the symbol of enlightenment. In the other hand he holds a hatchet. That is, the old karma – all your sanskars, the accumulated good and bad of past deeds – get cut when enlightenment comes.

The third hand holds laddus, the round sweet meats. They are the rewards of a wise life. Ganesha is never shown eating the laddus. The wise man never partakes of the rewards of his deeds. He is not attached to them. The fourth hand is shown blessing the people. The wise man wises the best for everyone.

Ganesha has only one tusk; the other is shown broken. There is an interesting story as to how Ganesh happened to get an elephant’s head and how one tusk got broken. The symbolism of the broken tusk is that the wise person is beyond duality.

We trend to think that we end when our bodies end in the material world. We are the first person. All else is different. This duality is created by the mind which creates the ego to help us to survive in this world. This is ‘me-other’ duality is the screen keeping us realizing our real Self, which is beyond body and mind.

Once we transcend this duality, we see the entire Universe as a single whole and we became aware of our true Selves. The single tusk of Ganesha symbolizes this non-duality. Wisdom allows us to see all as one and ourselves an internal part of the whole.

Ganesha is shown sitting with one foot on the ground and other resting on his knee, above the ground. The wise person is of this earth, yet not entirely of this earth.

Ganesha is shown seated on a rat. The reason for saying that Ganesha ‘rides’ on the rat is that the rat is among the greediest of all animals. It will keep nibbling at whatever is available, eating everything is can.

Scientifically too, the rat’s teeth keep growing and it has to keep chewing on something to keep these within limits. The rat is a symbol of our senses, which are never satisfied. They crave new experiences, new tastes. Left uncontrolled, they keep growing forever. The wise person rides on his senses. He keeps them under control.

Ganesha is often shown seated in front of a tray of sweets. In these images the rat is shown sitting in front of Ganesha, perhaps a bit to one side, looking up at him. The senses of the wise person are under his control and the rat dares not to eat the sweets without the permissions of Ganesha.

Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvati, the God governing the life-force and the earth-mother. This symbolizes the spirit and body of the wise person. Finally, the wise person has the dignity of an elephant.

When we say “Aum Ganeshaya Namah” before starting anything what we are saying is that “In what we are about to do let wisdom be our guide”. In a sense, Ganesha is our most powerful god, and he is usually remembered before starting any rituals for other deities.

The 21st Century has brought with it a wider and more diverse range of jobs than ever before. But that hasn't really made the job hunt any easier. In fact, organizations have now become even more selective about hiring. Here are 10 tips to help you get your dream job:

1. EXPLORE EARLY:
The process of self-discovery is much easier when you're young and have limited family responsibilities. So start exploring your dream job/s as early as you can to give yourself more scope for self- discovery and pursuing your passion. Do not rely merely on your qualification, academic performance, skill, aptitude and a good personality to guarantee your dream job - these are only threshold requirements.

2. CLEAR PLAN:
A successful sales person does not sit back and wait for business to come by; a serious job hunter should also adopt the same attitude. Research the recruitment process, and shortlist reasons why you are suited to your dream job, so that you have a clear plan for marketing yourself.

3. NETWORKING:
Your circle of contacts should know that you're looking for a particular job.

4. DO YOUR RESEARCH:

Detailed research on companies and organisations that offer your dream job is important.

5. ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Average to strong working knowledge of English both, written and oral, is essential in the globalised workplace. Keyboard typing, MS Office and emailing are basic skills for all jobs with prominent employers. Cultivate a range of IT skills to enhance your flexibility for a wider variety of dream jobs.

7. TEAM SPIRIT:
Demonstration of teamwork skills is as important for recruitment as it is for sports.

8. SHOW ENTHUSIASM:
An enthusiastic worker has a positive influence on colleagues , the manager and clients, so employers are always on the lookout for this trait.

9. RIGHT ATTIRE:
Dress neatly and appropriately for the job interview.Every job demands formal attire that fits well.

Everyone is Scared of Something

Posted by Milind Koyande | 6:23 AM 0 comments |

All of us are afraid of something. I will get you acquainted with various types of PHOBIAS that are there today.
In the Asterix comics that were a huge hit. Asterix the Gaul and his friends didn’t know the meaning of fear. They were, however afraid that one day, the sky might fall on their head. So yes, even the bravest people are afraid.
There are different types of fears. The fear of something, as we all know it, is termed as phobia. Phobia is derived from the Greek word Phobos, which means fear; various phobia is derived from the Latin or Greek words, and the first part of the word is the representation of the fear itself. For example: arachnophobia, which is the fear o spiders, is derived from the Greek words arachne which is spider and phobos which is fear.
There are three main categories of phobias. The first case is agoraphobia, which is the fear of open spaces. The second class is social phobias and the third is specific phobia, which vary in different individuals and has a number of subclasses.
The specific phobias are categorized into the following:
Animal Phobias:
Animal phobias, be they fear of dogs (cynophobia), cats (elurophobia or ailurophobia, among other names), spiders (arachnophobia), reptiles or insets (herpetophobia) or any other animals, are instigated by the presence of or the fear that animals or insects will be present in the sufferer’s immediate environment.
Environmental Phobias of Nature:
Environmental phobias are brought on by anything pertaining to the environment that is ‘natural’ in origin. Some examples of these include fear of heights (as of a precipice, specifically known as cremnophobia), fear of thunderstorms (brontophobia), fear of waves (can also be fear of wave like motion; cymophobia or kymphobia), or fear of thunder and lightning (astraphobia), or the fear of rain or f being rained on (ombrophobia).
Situational Phobias:
Situational phobias are perhaps the most command in modern society. Situational phobias include claustrophobia (fear if enclosed spaces), fear of home surrounding (eicophobia or oikophobia,), or the fear of cars (motorphobia).
Of course the list if phobia names gets added to frequently as new situations, substances, and environments come into play. People can also overcome their phobias and work on it. After all, it’s only when you know the meaning of fear and overcome it is when you are totally brave.

Communication & Relationship

Posted by Milind Koyande | 1:55 PM 0 comments |

The quality of your relationships is directly related to what you think. Thinking is how your mind interprets what happens around you.
The information you receive is determined by how you interpret incidents. The quality of your information is dependent on the struggle between your ego and your wisdom. Whoever has the dominant position influences your thinking towards one of the poles.
Relationships are about communication. You are conveying a message to someone or you are interpreting their message.
You think in concepts and pictures. The pictures that you formulate are then turned into words. This is where you encounter difficulties.
“A picture tells a thousand words.”
Why Communication breaks down?
Your words don’t describe your picture because you focus on your own emotional needs. Emotion is what drags an interpretation towards one of the poles. When you communicate, this prevents you from focusing on your delivery and the feedback you receive from the other person that is essential to effective communication.
There are only two types of relationships. The relationship you have with yourself and the relationship you have with the outside world.
1. The relationship you have with yourself is based upon how you interpret what happens around you at any given time.
This means that every event is interpreted by you, based on the state of your mind in the past when you interpreted the last event. You are heavily influenced by your past and all of your thinking is biased towards one of the poles.
To improve the relationship with yourself you need to communicate your concepts to your ego in a positive way. You need to train your mind to do this.
Use positive affirmations to redraw your pictures. It’s that simple but it requires constant effort.
2. The relationship you have with the outside world is identical. What happens to you is based on how you interpret the event, not what the event is.
The difference is what you focus on and how you interpret the event. Beware that each event is a new opportunity and you can interpret and respond as you wish. Your relationships with the outside world are just a reflection of the relationship you have with yourself.
If you are angry, you will find that your are surrounded by other angry people. What happens if you are happy? Yes, you will find yourself surrounded by other happy people.
What you can do is simply is simply look around and determine the quality of your existing relationships. This is the indicator of what is happening internally with you.
This will improve all your relationships dramatically. You have the ability and the opportunity to recreate you and your relationship to yourself every moment of everyday.

Speed Up Your System

‘BOX’ – Many prefer to call their PC by that name, or the frequent hang-ups that your computer experiences. Some chose to bang their hand hard, against the CPU whereas some just adjust. Just relax! I have the solution for you.
There are a zillion reasons for that but the most common are virus, spyware, malware, and worm. Another very command reason is that your PC may be low on RAM. So comparing these to aspects make sure that you have installed an anti-virus that does not occupy your entire RAM. Norton for example, gives you good results but makes your PC slow. Well in that case McAfee, Kaspersky, Avast etc. is one of the best options. If you are planning to increase your RAM, for optimum results don’t plan to settle under 1 GB. No matter what RAM you have do install a good anti-virus for your PC. Make sure that it gives you protection from not just viruses but also spywares, Trojans, malware etc.
Many a times there are unwanted and unnecessary processes running under the covers, which you are not aware of. You can find them and terminate them forever. Just type ‘msconfig’ command in ‘Run’ and select ‘start-up’ tab. There you’ll find all the processes, which start automatically when you start your PC. Deselect the processes which you KNOW are unnecessary example: GoogleToolbarnotifier and click ‘Apply’. Now select the ‘Services’ tab in ‘msconfig’. Select the option ‘Hide All Microsoft Services’ now deselect all the services. Which you KNOW are unnecessary, and then click on ‘Apply’. Another thing you can follow to increase your PC speed is – Keep your desktop as clean as possible. Say only seven to eight shortcut icons. It helps a bit here and there.
When your PC snoozes to a slow mode we can see a rise in the ‘PF Usage’ in ‘Task Manager’. As it soars towards its maximum, your PC gets slower and slower. In your ‘Control Panel’ double click on ‘Systems’, select ‘Advanced’ tab, and then click on ‘Settings’ button and then again ‘Advance’ button. In there you will find ‘Virtual Memory’ option with a ‘Change’ button. Generally it is set to 1.5 times your RAM, your can take it a bit higher to times. Try it out.

How to Overcome Your Negativity

Mental Flexibility

Posted by Milind Koyande | 5:59 PM | 0 comments |

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be out of shape

Their rigidity of thought doesn’t tolerate freedom of expression. It is a reaction instead of a solution. Do we have the ability to handle different situations in different ways? If so, why adopt hard ways to make others believe in our ideology? This is nothing more than an expression of intolerance, narrow-mindedness.
Openness to new or different ideas, mental flexibility allows us to adjust to a changing environment. The stress we experience in life is due to the inability to accept change. People are criticized for changing their minds. “They lack consistency. They have no strength of conviction”. But what are minds for, if not for changing? Changing one’s mind is not a sign of weakness, but of flexibility and growth.
Here are some steps to cultivate mental flexibility:
  • When you’re listening to the viewpoint of another and are tempted to disagree with it, remember that you will be changing your own opinion in the future. So, remain open. The more ideas you have to draw upon, the more creative and solution-oriented you will become.
  • Did you ever notice that the only people we consider intelligent are those who share our opinions?
  • Don’t cling to your opinions, for they are nothing more than knowledge.
  • To benefit from the wisdom of others, didn’t get turned off by how they present their opinions. Focus on the substance.
  • Whenever the opinions of others make you feel uncomfortable, don’t run and hide. Whenever we are forced to step outside of our comfort zone, we grow.
  • To be flexible, we must be willing to break from tradition and habit. We must be willing to question everything.
  • Increase your use of the right hemisphere, which is the seat of intuition and creativity. Become more attuned to the arts, nature, and the wisdom of your inner voice.
  • Learn from any source you can. Friends and co-workers, books, new information is the sources of new options, which can offer greater flexibility.
  • Adjust your attitude and perspective. When you begin to view the strangers as friends, instead of potential threats, you’ll become more flexible.
  • Learn to view the world through the eyes of another. Use the power of your imagination to place you into as many as roles possible, for flexibility consists of understanding the viewpoints of others and learning from them.
Different opinions are not the enemy. But that power would be denied to us unless we have an open mind.

Let’s unravel the mystery of the origin of Chess, a game that is Ruled by India even Today
The Origin of chess is as mysterious as the game. While we can only assume its origin, there are several places across the world that claim to have invented the game. However, according to Sir William Jones (1746-1794), one of the earliest chess historians, the game originated in India around 600 AD. From here, it went to Persia in 700 AD and was then adopted by the Arans in 800 AD. Historians believe that the game was spread across the workd through the Arab influence as they were primarily nomadic in nature.
India – Chaturanga:
The game in Ancient India was known as Chaturanga. As the name suggests, instead of the two players modern chess has, the ancient version had four players (Chaturanga, means ‘quadripartite’ in Sanskrit).
Persia – Chatrang:
The period of the Persian Empire relevant to the origin of chess, was known as the Sassanid Empire and ruled Iran for over four centuries. One chapter of the book of Kings describes how the Raja of Hind (India) sent game via an emissary to King Nushirwan. The same chapter relates the legend of the invention of chess following a civil war between the two sons of a Queen. The game is also mentioned in the ‘Karnamak’ (‘Book of Deeds’).
Arabia – Shatranj:
After the death of Prophet Muhammad, one of the world’s great conquests spread out from Arabia. By 656, the Persian Empire had been conquered and although the status of chess was uncertain in the codes established be the Koran [Quran], the game flourished. The great culture of early Islam gave us the first works first chess literature, first recorded the names of early chess player, and spread the game as far as Spain.
